Terms and Conditions
for Fluffy Bums - Pet Care Services

1. Introduction

​

These Terms and Conditions (the "Agreement") govern the services provided by Fluffy Bums, including dog walking, house sitting, wedding pet care, pet feeding, pet sitting and pet transportation. By booking our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

2. Services Provided

​

Fluffy Bums - Pet Care offers the following pet care services:

Dog Walking: Regular or casual dog walks.
House Sitting: Pet sitting services, including overnight stays and care.
Pet Feeding/Sitting: Meal services and company for pets as per your instructions.
Wedding Pet Care: Providing  transportation to on-site supervision on your wedding day.
Pet Transportation: Safe transport for your pets from A to B (e.g. vet, grooming, kennels...)

3. Client Responsibilities

​

To ensure the safety and well-being of your pet, the Client agrees to:
• Provide accurate and complete information about their pet(s), including dietary restrictions, medical conditions, behavioral issues, and emergency contact details.
• Ensure that all pets are properly vaccinated and healthy before services are provided.
• Provide a safe, secure environment for the pet care provider to carry out services.
• Provide all pet supplies necessary to care for them (food, medications, leashes, treats, etc.)
• Property Access: The client grants Fluffy Bums access to their property in order to provide the services requested. Any security systems or access devices must be provided to the service provider in advance. The client is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of their home and property during the service.

Dog Walking

Our dog walking services include basic care such as water breaks and leash handling but do not include training, grooming, or other services unless specified in advance.

​Client Responsibilities
To ensure the safety and comfort of your pet, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information regarding your dog’s health, temperament, allergies, or behavioral issues.
• Ensure that your dog is up-to-date on vaccinations and flea/tick prevention.
• Provide appropriate walking gear (leash, harness, collar, etc.), unless otherwise agreed.
• Notify us of any changes in your dog’s behavior, health, or routine.
• Keep your dog’s identification (tags, microchip, etc.) up-to-date and clearly visible.
• Ensure your dog is not sick or contagious at the time of the walk.

Booking and Payment

• Booking: Dog walking services must be booked at least 48 hours in advance.
• Payment: Full payment is due prior to or at the time of service. We accept bank transfers or cash.
• Cancellations for Regular Walks: Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled walk will not be charged. Cancellations within 48 hours are to be paid in full.
• Cancellations for Casual Walks: Cancellations made 5 days or more before the scheduled walk will not be charged. Cancellations within 5 days are to be paid in full.

Service Hours and Availability
• Our standard walking hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM Walks requested outside of these hours may incur an additional fee.
• We cannot guarantee same-day availability, but we will try our best to accommodate. Please book in advance for best results.

Behavior and Control
• Dogs must be able to walk on a leash and behave appropriately with other dogs and people.
• If a dog is deemed aggressive or poses a risk to other animals or people, we reserve the right to end the walk and return the dog immediately to its home.
• Clients must inform Fluffy Bums of any behavior concerns (e.g., pulling, leash aggression, anxiety) so we can assess suitability for the walk.

 

Weather and Health Conditions
• Walks may be adjusted or canceled due to extreme weather conditions (e.g., thunderstorms, excessive heat) for the safety of your dog.
• We may adjust the duration or intensity of the walk if we believe it is too hot, cold, or otherwise unsafe for your dog.

 

Dog Walking Equipment
• It is the client’s responsibility to provide suitable equipment for the walk, including a well-fitting collar or harness and leash.
• Fluffy Bums will provide waste bags, treats (if allowed), water

 

House & Pet Sitting

​

Fluffy Bums offers house sitting services, which may include:
• Pet Sitting: Care for pets in the comfort of your home, including feeding, walking, and administering medication (as needed).
• House Care: General home care, such as mail collection, plant watering, and maintaining the security of your home.
• Overnight Stays: We provide overnight stays to ensure your home and pets are cared for while you are away.

Client Responsibilities
To ensure the best experience, you agree to:
• Provide accurate information about your pets, including any special care requirements, medical needs, and behavioral concerns.
• Ensure that all pets are up-to-date on vaccinations and flea/tick prevention.
• Provide access to your home (keys, alarm codes, etc.) and any necessary pet care supplies (food, medications, litter, etc.).
• Provide contact information for an emergency contact person in case of any issues during the house sitting period.
• Ensure that your home is prepared for the house sitter’s stay (e.g., clean bedding, any house rules clearly communicated).

Booking and Payment
• Booking: House sitting services should be booked in advance to avoid any disappointment (especially during peak season, school holidays...). Last minute bookings may be available and will incur additional costs. Please note, our rate is charged per night - if Fluffy Bums is required to arrive before 3pm on your departure day and/or stay after 10am on your arrival day, extra costs will be involved. Early "check-in", Late "check-out" can be booked subject to availability.
• Payment & Cancellations: A 30% non-refundable deposit is necessary to secure your booking. Balance is due 3 weeks prior to your departure date, at which point the balance is also non-refundable. We accept bank transfers and cash.
Should any additional costs incur during the sit, the client will need to refund Fluffy Bums as soon as possible. Examples include (but are not limited to): mileage for appointments, purchase of additional items for pet care, purchase of items required for care of the home etc.

Pet Care and Health
• You must provide accurate details of any medical conditions, allergies, or medications your pets are on.
• We will follow all instructions for pet care, but in case of an emergency, we will seek veterinary care at the client’s expense if we are unable to reach you or your emergency contact.
• If your pet exhibits aggressive behavior or is not suitable for care, we may terminate the sitting service at our discretion, and the full fee will still apply.

 

House Security and Care
• We will ensure the security and safety of your home during our stay, including locking doors and windows when leaving and following your instructions regarding security systems.
• Any damages caused to your home or property due to our negligence will be reported and compensated for by Fluffy Bums.
• We will not be responsible for any damages caused by pets (e.g., chewing, scratching, accidents).

Security/Pet Cameras

• Please disclose any recording devices in and around your home. We ask that any internal cameras must be turned off to respect our privacy. External cameras can be left on for the security of your home.

 

House Sitting Rules
• Personal Property: We will respect your personal property and follow any specific guidelines for your home.
• Visitors: We will not invite guests to your home unless previously discussed and approved.

Modifications or Extensions
Any changes to the house sitting agreement (e.g., extending the duration) must be discussed and confirmed with Fluffy Bums before implementation. Extensions are subject to availability.

Wedding Pet Care 

​

Fluffy Bums offers the following wedding pet care services:
• Pet Transportation: Transporting pets to and from the wedding venue or other locations.
• Pet Sitting and Care: Providing care for pets during the event, including feeding, walking, and attending to their needs.
• Pet Attendant: A dedicated pet attendant to manage your pet’s comfort and safety throughout the wedding day.
• Pet Styling and Dressing: Assistance with dressing your pet for the wedding, if applicable.
• Pet Photography Assistance: Coordinating pet-related photo sessions during the wedding, if requested.

Client Responsibilities
To ensure smooth and safe wedding pet care, the client agrees to:
• Provide Accurate Information: Inform us of any special requirements, medical conditions, behavioral issues, or restrictions for your pet(s).
• Provide Supplies: Ensure that all necessary pet supplies (food, medications, leash, collar, pet attire, etc.) are provided.
• Pet Health: Ensure pets are healthy and up-to-date on vaccinations, flea/tick treatments, and any other required health precautions.
• Designate Contact Person: Provide emergency contact information, including a backup person who can be reached if necessary.
• Pet Behavior: Ensure that your pet(s) are comfortable with strangers, other pets, and the wedding environment.

Booking and Payment
• Booking: Wedding pet care services should be booked at least in advance. Subject to availability, me may be able to help on short notice, additional costs will incur.
• Payment & Cancellations: a 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking. Balance is due 6 weeks prior your wedding day, at which point the balance is also non-refundable. We accept bank transfers and cash.

Service Duration
Wedding pet care services last from arrival time to departure time agreed upon booking. Extended services can be arranged subject to availability and at additional costs.

​

Pet Transportation
• If transportation of your pet is part of the service, we will ensure that pets are safely transported.
• Pets will be transported in a manner that ensures their safety, comfort, and well-being.

​

Client's Home or Wedding Venue Access
The client must provide us with clear access to their home or the wedding venue for pet care services, including necessary keys, alarm codes, or directions. Any access issues or restrictions must be communicated in advance to avoid delays.

​

Wedding Day Expectations
• Pet Attendants: We will ensure that the designated pet attendant is available to manage your pet during the event and keep them safe and comfortable.
• Photographs: If your pet is part of your wedding photographs, the client is responsible for ensuring the pet is available and ready at the scheduled time.
• Pet Handling: We will handle your pet with care but are not responsible for any disruption caused by your pet during the wedding ceremony or event.

Pet Feeding / Pet  Sitting

​

Fluffy Bums offers pet feeding and pet sitting services, which may include:
• Pet Feeding: We will provide your pet(s) with meals and snacks as per your instructions, including specific dietary requirements.
• Pet Sitting: Short to longer visits to your home to check on your pet(s), provide companionship, administer medication, and ensure their well-being.
• Pet Hygiene: Light cleaning of pet areas, including litter box cleaning, cage cleaning, and water changes.
• Walks and Playtime: If requested, we can also take your pet for a walk or engage in playtime during the visit.

Client Responsibilities
To ensure the best experience for your pet, you agree to:
• Provide Accurate Information: Inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, behavioral issues, or special care requirements for your pet(s).
• Provide Supplies: Ensure that all necessary supplies are provided for the visit (e.g., food, bowls, leash, medications, etc.).
• Pet Health: Ensure your pet(s) are healthy, free of contagious diseases, and up-to-date on vaccinations.
• Access: Provide necessary access to your home (keys, security codes, etc.) and any instructions for feeding, medication, or pet care.
• Emergency Contact: Provide an emergency contact in case of any issues during the visit.

 

Booking and Payment
• Booking: Pet feeding and Pet Sitting services should be booked at least 48 hours in advance.
• Payment: Full payment is due at the time of booking. We accept bank transfer and cash.
• Cancellations: Cancellations made 5 days or more in advance will receive a full refund minus a $35 admin fee. Cancellations made within 5 days of the scheduled booking will be non-refundable.


Pet Transportation

Fluffy Bums offers pet transportation services, which may include:
• Transportation to/from: Transporting your pet to and from various locations such as veterinary appointments, grooming sessions, pet daycare, or events (e.g., weddings, parties).
• Pet Airport Transfers: Transporting pets to and from airports.

Client Responsibilities
To ensure safe and efficient pet transportation, the client agrees to:
• Provide Accurate Information: Inform us of any special needs, medical conditions, or behavioral issues your pet may have.
• Ensure Pet Health and Safety: Ensure your pet is healthy, free from contagious diseases, and up-to-date on vaccinations.
• Provide Proper Carrier: Clients must provide an appropriate carrier or vehicle harness that is comfortable and secure for their pet during transportation. If no carrier is provided, Fluffy Bums may provide one, but the client will be responsible for any additional charges. Fluffy Bums is equipped with a seat belt.
• Pet Behavior: Ensure your pet is accustomed to traveling and behaves in a manner that ensures their safety during transportation. Aggressive or uncooperative pets may require special accommodations or may not be accepted for transport.
• Documentation: Provide any necessary documentation for your pet (e.g., vaccination records...)

Booking and Payment
• Booking: Pet transportation services should be booked at least 48 hours in advance.
• Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking. We accept bank transfer and cash.
• Cancellations: Cancellations made 5 days or more in advance will receive a full refund minus a $35 admin fee. Cancellations made within 5 days is non-refundable.

Transportation Duration and Routes
• Duration: The duration of transport may vary depending on the distance, traffic, and nature of the route. We will provide an estimated time frame for transportation.
• Routes: While we will make every effort to follow the most direct and safe routes, the client acknowledges that routes may be adjusted based on traffic, road conditions, and other factors outside our control.

Delays and Changes
• While we make every effort to stay on schedule, delays may occur due to weather, traffic, or other unforeseen circumstances. We will communicate any significant delays to the client.
• If you need to change the transportation time or destination after booking, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Additional fees may apply.

4. Emergency Procedures

​

In the event of an emergency (e.g., illness or injury), Fluffy Bums will attempt to contact you immediately. If we cannot reach you, we will take the necessary action, including contacting your emergency contact or seeking veterinary care, at the client’s expense.

​

5. Pet Behavior

​

We reserve the right to refuse service if your pet demonstrates aggressive behavior or is otherwise deemed unsafe for the environment. If a pet’s behavior is a risk to the safety of our staff or other animals, we may terminate the service, and the client will still be responsible for the full payment.

​

6. Modifications to Services

​

Any changes to the scheduled services must be agreed upon in advance. Additional services or extended time may incur extra charges.

​

7. Late Payment & Public Holidays

​

•   If you fail to pay when required, a late payment fee of $10 will incur after your second reminder.
•   Any bookings falling on a public holiday will have a 15% surcharge.

​

8. Liability and Insurance

​

Fluffy Bums is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or damages caused by your pet during the service. We maintain insurance for our services, but the client agrees to hold Fluffy Bums harmless from any claims, losses, or damages that may arise from our pet care services.

​​

9. Access to Your Home

​

• You must provide clear and safe access to your home for the pet care provider.
• If a key or entry code is provided, it must be clearly labeled, and any specific instructions for entry should be communicated in advance.
• If we cannot access the home on the day, we will make reasonable attempts to contact you and wait a maximum of 10 minutes. After that, the client will be responsible for the full service charge.

 

10. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Fluffy Bums - Pet Care reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to clients in advance, and continued use of our services will be considered acceptance of the updated terms.

​

11. Governing Law

​

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.

​

12. Changes to Terms and Conditions

​

Fluffy Bums reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to clients, and continued use of our services after such changes will be considered acceptance of the updated terms.
