At Fluffy Bums, we've been caring for Auckland's pets and homes for five years — but our story actually starts further afield. Aline and Tony met in Rarotonga in 2018 while managing the local SPCA together, and that year sealed it: neither of us could imagine life without furry companions.

Fluffy Bums was born soon after, and we've now been at it for seven years, the last five right here in Auckland, backed by nothing but outstanding reviews from the pets and owners we've cared for.

Aline grew up with cats always by her side, and it's no surprise she's earned the nickname "the cat whisperer," with a gift for putting even the most timid cats at ease within minutes. She also grew up with a Bernese Mountain Dog, which is probably why she has a soft spot for big, gentle, teddy-bear-like dogs to this day. That love for animals took her further afield too, volunteering with the SPCA in France and at wildlife rehabilitation centers across South Africa and Australia, where she cared for everything from injured native wildlife to orphaned animals in need of round-the-clock attention.

Tony has had cats and dogs by his side for as long as he can remember, and animals have always returned the favour — flocking to him just as readily as they do to Aline. That natural ease with animals is matched by real professional discipline: as the manager of a premium corporate security company, Tony has spent his career overseeing high-level security operations built on trust, discretion, and reliability. It's a combination that makes him just as much a hands-on animal person as he is the one you trust with your home and your keys.
